Dear Leaders of Buddhist Networks across America (that NABA has not yet discovered or reached out to),

In the relatively barren desert that is the Buddhist landscape in North America,
you have seeded many saplings of the Dharma,
nurtured branches that reach out to Buddhists of diverse traditions,
and extended your pioneering spirit as shade that towers over those in need of courage when the path seems long.

Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do with Buddhist bridge-building.

North American Buddhist Alliance is attempting to follow in your footsteps
as the vacuum of a Buddhist network in North America became glaring.

In one of our online calls last year, some Buddhists located in the same regions met
and spoke of developing their own regional networks.
They are in need of advice, resources, and recommendations.

I wonder if it might be productive to invite leaders of existing Buddhist networks such as yourselves to meet virtually,
possibly in support of one another and those who may wish to develop other regional Buddhist networks
in the U.S. and Canada.

As a follow-up to a previous call and a call to action as requested by the participants,
we have scheduled some time Tuesday evening, March 14th
to discuss connecting Buddhists across North America through outreach.
Would you join us from 5 to 7 PM PST?

If nothing else, for all of us to meet and learn a little more about each other's networks?
Something may even come into fruition?

North American Buddhist Alliance is a new, idealistic, and organic organization
modeled after Northwest Dharma Association.
We are not a governing body nor are we interested in developing a hierarchy of any sort.
We are most interested in offering resources and information
so Buddhists throughout North America may know about each other,
collaborate as opportunities arise,
and gather on occasion as a Sangha with a plethora of blossoms -- in this still nascent Buddhist land.

Please RSVP here if you’re available March 14th.

Thank you and in Dharma,
North American Buddhist Alliance
